Let’s start off with, I have never really done a blog before. It has always seemed interesting to me, but I never foresaw myself ever doing one. At least, not until now.
If you have managed to come across this version of a blog…Good Morning. Good Afternoon. Good Evening. Where ever you are in the world today, happy day to you and welcome.
Here, I will write about me and what motivated me to write my story, “Something Unfamiliar”. I’ll also write about certain scenes from the book and if they have any additional meaning that the reader may or may not know of. I’ll talk about a lot of my experiences in this first year as a writer. To include an upcoming radio interview. I will also talk about some of the illustrations in the story. Some of you may not know, that I am also the illustrator of the book. Which was no easy feat either. In fact, that’s probably a whole blog in itself.
Okay, so lets begin with a little bit more about me.
If you happen to come across my book and flip it over, on the back there is a picture of me with a quick about the author. Well, that quick bio of my life thus far was an interesting experience to write for me. I say that because, prior to becoming an author, I streamed Live entertainment on Twitch.
Well I’ve had to write an about me before due to having a panel on my Twitch page that had something similar. However, I felt like for my book, it had to be even more personal. I also felt as if I had to list my life as milestones or achievements in order to catch the readers eye. I felt like I had some obligation to wow my reader or at least intrigued them enough.
On first thought, I wasn’t sure what to write. So, I just listed my life in a chronological form. After typing it out, I read back over what I had wrote and I found myself smiling at it. I was like wow, I’ve done a lot of things that I said I wanted to do and I didn’t even listed everything that I had done. I ended up intriguing myself with it, so I figured, it would do for the masses. Just enough to impress, yet enough to have them wondering, what’s next.
